House of Cards|Review

House of Cards is an American political thriller streaming television series created by Beau Willimon. It is an adaptation of the 1990 BBC miniseries of the same name and based on the 1989 novel of the same name by Michael Dobbs.

This show is about how House Majority Whip Frank Underwood is betrayed and then begins a ruthless and corrupt climb of the political ladder that takes his career to unprecedented heights as Claire, his wife, tries to find a spot in her husband’s spotlight.

If you enjoyed following this year’s presidential campaign, you will love House of Cards. It is a loosely like HBO’s Game of Thrones, but in the modern society. It is fascinating seeing Underwood climbs the political ladder. Treachery, greed, sex, money and a very clever protagonist make all the charm of House of Cards.

It gives the viewer a good taste of what power feels like and how far must go to obtain it.

Sadly, this is another TV show who suffer from a bad ending. Is this enough to stop me from recommending House of Cards? Absolutely not.

Must watch if you like: -Politics
-Power obsessed protagonists
